The Alaska Aces and the Meralco Bolts will resume its semi-finals series at the Cuneta Astrodome, game time is at 6:30 PM.
The last time coach Alex Compton and his Alaska Aces tasted a Finals game was last 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup. They were the runner-up of that tourney behind the San Miguel Beermen.
This conference, with the leadership of Mike Harris, it seems they’re in a much better shape. Yet, they still need to take care their tonight’s business with the dangerous Meralco Bolts.
Meralco is back in a position which made them one of the best teams this 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup. This conference is almost gone for them but the resilience of the team pushed them to Top Four.
The Bolts had the opportunity to send the game into overtime in Game 3 but the shots of Allen Durham, Reynel Hugnatan and Anjo Caram all rimmed out.
“We couldn’t get the offensive rebound when we needed it. Like three different possessions or something like that. We had an opportunity to get a head way in the game but we couldn’t do it, we couldn’t get the rebounds. That hurt us,” said Durham.
“Obviously, I missed the point-blank shot in the end.”
