Ginebra Unable To Stop The Streaking Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters

Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel still win-less after their two outings and this time they have absorbed another defeat against the hot streaking Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters.

The KaTropa caught fire in the final quarter particularly Jayson Castro as he drilled back-to-back three-pointers and sparked an 11-1 surge.

Known as the “Best Point Guard In Asia” due to his stellar performance each time he wears the Gilas jersey registered 27 points along with his 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Former Golden State Warriors player and now a TNT import Jeremy Tyler had a dismal performance scoring only two points but shown consistency in the rebounding end with his 15 boards.

Despite of the poor performance of KaTropa foreign hire, the Gin Kings unable to take advantage of the situation but instead their own import Charles Garcia almost had the same output.

Garcia shoots terrible from the field as he only converted his three shots out of eleven attempts. Thanks to his nine free-throws that made him reach double figures in scoring. Garcia logged 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Both teams went toe-to-toe almost the entire game before TNT able to make a separation with four minutes remaining in the game.

One of the players that gave the crowd a highlight was the buzzer-beating shots of Yousef Taha. One of that shot was made in the fourth quarter when Jayson Castro unable to make a shot because of the pesky defense of Sol Mercado.

With a fraction of a second, Taha releases a one-handed shot and swished directly to the bottom of the nets. Taha chipped in with 6 points to go with his three rebounds.

He is one of the bench scorers that made a big difference in the game. TNT got 65 points from its reserves compared to only 21 for Ginebra.
